making of the waistcoat

through development. i have decided to make the waistcoat more tailord, so i have added a jetted pocket on the left hand side.... keeping in theme with theme hidden agenda..

i have also curved the hemline of the waistcoat, also giving it a closer fit to the body, and also adding an over sized hood, with pin tucks

inspirations, from mainly hidden agenda,
using the hand thats padded- limb like a body builder padded out....

looking at roses, has inspired me into folding of fabric a little further and really like this idea, going to use it on the front of the wasitcoat...

wrinkles have inspired the gathering down the spine of the waistcoat...

chosen my design, i have decided to make a waistcoat that is inspired by body builders and also the hand- hidden agenda....

hidden print

i also had an idea of a hidden print inside the garment, or hidden in a pocket.... but not quick sure, will have to experiment with it.....

but here are the 1st few samples of it... i got inspired by this when looking at Dolce and Gabbana's collection with famous faces from the past, printed big on their garments.....

samples, of different thicknesses of piping in fabrics, would look great on seams and also maybe as wasit bands on garments....

i really like the idea of the hand i was looking at designer hussian chalayan, and maybe conclealing it under folds and pleats of fabrics....


looking at pleating to hide under folding of fabric, but not sure i like this idea, think its been done to many times...

more sampling pages, that have inspired my design work.... and also my final garment/toile that has to be patern cut and made by next week.... shouldnt take to long hopefully.....

Sampling

these to pages are inspired by the body builders, creating piping samples, padding in quilting form or on the other page as random sewing, and also pin tucks, that symbolise popping veins.....

hidden pleats, worked into a garment, pleating inspired by spirl staircases, and architecture.....

folding fabrics into unusal shapes to create funky pleating, as decoration over garments or worked into a garment pattern....

3d sample work, create on the stand, to gain inspiration... and create 3d samples from the images i have chosen.... have also looked into...

really enjoyed this module which was surprising, as i couldn't get into it at first, but made a profit of £74 so am really pleased. got a my presentation proposing my business plan later, a little nervous so should be fine, as I've planned it well...

taking two pages from my research over easter, i have decided to take forward, surrealism with hidden agenda, and also look into body building, and have they minipulate their muscles in such a way that they become almost disfigured to an extent.....
