the colours:

teal

pink

dark purple

lime green

creamy white

beige

grey

but not all the colours will be used in each collection of the range.

i have layered up my designs, by putting sheer tops over playsuits with tights and trenchcoats or little leather jackets, keeping in theme with miu miu. each garment with eyelet detail.

i have been given contempory womenswear to design, which is great as i love this style, and find it easy to design from....

my inspriations, as eyelet detailing and pleating/folding of the fabrics. and also keeping in sink with the other ranges and also the miu miu style.

general research..

i am designing the womenswear contempary collection....

i also researched into using eyelets on different types of fabrics and seeing what effect you get under and over different textures of fabrics...

looking at avant garde hair styles, to create ideas.....
i also looked at using using unusal fabrics, like mesh and layering up fabrics, as miu miu like to put together unsual fabrics.

using architecture as inspriation, to create ideas, pleats and folding fabric in unusual ways.

these are images of the fabrics as we all went out and found some from our home towns...... and decided on the last image, including white/cream, mix of silks, leather, mess and cotton/wools.

trend interpretation, we have decided as a group to look at faux real..... so bright colours and bold unusual fabrics, combined with neutrals and softer fabrics, for e.g leather and silk...

shop report and research

these are previous miu miu collections, to give inspriations for our new a/w collection for miu miu.....

these two are just general shapes from wgsn, that i worked on using miu miu style to recreate and change the style slightly...

we have chosen to look at Miu Miu as our brand, and going to do a shop report and research their styles, and fabrics they use, within their collections, i have also researched into their competitors, who are MCQ, D&G and Marc by Marc Jacobs.

New Brief- Application of design

Application of design- working as a group of 5.... should be great working as a team, i'm looking forward to it, brief is a little daunting, quite a lot of work to do, so better get a good start over reading week, to keep on top of the work load, seen as though working in a group we all need to work on similar things at the same time....

feed back !

had feed back session, went well, loved my jetted pocket, dress fastening down the back could have been neater and finished off a bit better, overall work was looking really good, so i was pleased with my feedback. i feel i could of done the dress a little bit better, i ran out of time with the eyelet fastening down the back... next i wont use strips of hook and eyes, not practical and hard to attatch.

deadline !!

deadline tomorrow, felt like i was running out of time, even though i had finished everything today, i still had little bits to go back and tweek in my research and designs, but, iv really enjoyed this module, am pleased with my work and hope i get a really good, grade, its been hard work but worth it !
